HGSRC Juniors: Match #2
Match Reports for Sunday 18 October
Match Report for HGSRC 1 vs Chesham Bois 1 by Jo Kettle. Team : Brad Desborough, James Holland, Jasper Kettle, Matty Gallagher and Sunil Popat
A very disappointing result for the first team losing 16-5 to a strong Chesham Bois team. The boys all did their best; however they came up against some stiff opposition. Sunil took the honours taking the only win of the afternoon 3-0. Matty played a great close match and was very unlucky not to take a game off his opponent having lost the first game 18-16.
Match Report for HGSRC 2 vs AGS 1 by Matt. Team : Matt O’Regan, Max Cherrett, Conor Taylor, Ethan Andrews, Matt Holland
With a last minute pull out of Alex due to injury, the second team consisted of Matt O, Max, Conor, Ethan and Matt H. It's fair to say it was a tough day with Max being the only player to win a game….yes, a game. There was some really good squash played and tough games, despite the score, but it wasn't enough to keep AGS at bay. A 19-1 defeat and some sorry faces about sums it up.
Match Report for HGSRC 3 vs Beaconsfield Tigers by Becky. Team : Becky Meyrick, Sarah Jackson, Rachel Albin, Konrad Pompe, Daniel Allington
The third team had a close afternoon of matches against the Beaconsfield Tigers with the final score being 15-8 to Beaconsfield's team. Sarah had a great game beating her opponent 3-0, likewise Konrad was 2-0 down and managed to bring the score back up and won 3-2. Daniel had a tough game with an end result of 2-3. Becky and Rachel both lost their games 3-0, with one of Becky's games going up to 14-16. Overall it was a good afternoon of squash and everyone played fabulously. Rachel summed the afternoon up as "squashilicious"!
Match Report for HGSRC 5 vs Beaconsfield Pumas by Dom Team : Dom Holland, Jessica Martin, Finn Andrews, Hamza Juma and Lucy Herritty
The fifth team produced a strong performance which ended with five wins of 3-0. A particular congratulations to Lucy Herrity who played her first match for Holmer Green today and won 11-2, 11-8, 11-2.
