Welcome to the junior section of Holmer Green Squash and Racketball Club.
We have a thriving junior section at Holmer Green, welcoming boys and girls of all abilities, from beginners through to county and regional players.
In the last year, some of our juniors have represented Bucks and also played at the National Schools Squash Finals held at the National Squash Centre in Manchester.

We have three junior teams in the Bucks junior leagues. Our 1st team are the 2016 Bucks Division 1 champions.
Matches are held throughout the winter on a Sunday afternoon so please do come down and support the junior players.

We encourage all our juniors to become members of the club so that they can also benefit from playing outside of coaching times. Membership also entitles them to play for the club, enter in-house competitions and the junior leagues.

We run coaching sessions on Saturday mornings and also Thursday after school. Both coaching sessions are held during school term time.
Saturday coaching caters for all abilities in the following groups:
Roger Dugan, our Level 2 qualified coach, runs the first two junior coaching sessions with support from Level 1 volunteers.
Sam Mueller, qualified to Level 3, runs the advanced and elite groups.
Matt Davies, a Level 3 coach, runs the Thursday session from 16:45 pm to 17:45 pm.
All we require for new starters are non-marking indoor shoes. Rackets, balls and goggles can be provided.

Coaching fees are paid termly. If you decide to sign up, the cost per term will be £45 for beginners and intermediates; £50 for the advanced group and Thursday session; £60 for the elite group. Non-members pay an additional £10 per term.
Matt, Roger and Sam all run 1:1 coaching sessions. Please contact Mike Gibbon for further details.
We offer the opportunity for our juniors to qualify as Level 1 coaches and Bucks Youthspace recently supported this initiative with a grant for four of our juniors to obtain their Level 1 qualification.
We take Child Protection very seriously at Holmer Green and we have implemented the England Squash & Racketball guidelines. All juniors have to wear eye protection on court. Spare pairs of goggles are available at the coaching sessions.
